Gprs speed can be vary while travelling bcaz in trevelling u r change ur place at a instant so strength of ur signal changes regularly, in some places signal is good and in some places weak. So it results fluctuation in speed of internet.

it is depends upon the network signals will not proper coming in the traveling and in the traveling so many village coming there what no proper signal of that particular network and train will going so fast so lots of fluctuation is coming so that is the reason for decreasing the gprs speed when travelling in train

GPRS or General Packet Radio Service is a mobile data service that is essentially packet oriented. This technology can be availed by users opting to the 2G and 3G communication systems of the global system for mobile communications or GSM. and Enhanced GPRS or Enhanced Data rates for Global Evolution or IMT Single Carrier makes superior data transmission rates possible. This happens as an extension adding to the standard GSM technology

gprs speed actually depends on network signal strength....while u travel from from one place to another....the network fluctuates....and in train u cant get full signal...because it runs at a very fast speed....

I believe that I should have the correct reason behind your query. Not only in trains but even if we are travelling long distances by buses the gprs speeds are low. It takes a lot of time to load even a single page even if the signal strength shown by mobile is full. The reason is that when we are in motion the tower hands off the incoming signal from it to the nearest tower we are approaching. The towers now not only have to worry about providing the packet data but also have to hand off signals at proper time based on the coverage area of particular towers. This takes time and we find difficulty even in sending sms, downloading or browsing, even talking.

poor signals

when we travel in train, there is a great variation in frequency received by our cell phone from the operator. Due to variation in frequency signal varies and that's why gprs speed also varies.

it depends upon the network and upon the area while in the train the network keeps fluctuating so the speed decreases.

while travelling the network signals will not proper due to train speed and in the travellig we will meet the villages in villages the signal will not be proper

NETWORK (SINGNAL ) U R OUT FROM HOME NETWORK

The reason is that the Trains moves at a considerably fast pace which makes the network dimish from one point to another. At some place the network is good and the next second you will experience sudden downfall. So if your network is not proper the same way you cannot call, the net speed deviates.

This is not happening due to travel in train but it is due to signal strength of service provider
