PUK code is unique to each SIM and is not assigned a default number. The Personal Unblocking code is the last way to clear a PIN block. A PIN block occurs when you enter the PIN wrong 3 times in a row. The PUK code is stored on the SIM and is checked when you enter it manually after getting it from your provider. You have 10 chances to enter it correctly, after the 10th try, the SIM card is permanently blocked.

puk is known as pin unblock key or personal unblocking code. After switching on the phone, if the PIN security function is active, the user is requested to enter a 4-8 digit PIN enabling the phone's non-emergency calling functions. If the wrong PIN is typed in more than three times, either the SIM card, the device or both become locked.

A Personal Unblocking Code (PUC) or Personal Unblocking Key (PUK) is used in GSM mobile phones and some smartcards to unblock a blocked card. Most mobile telephones offer the feature of personal identification number (PIN) protection. After switching on the phone, if the PIN security function is not switched off, the user is requested to enter a 4-8 digit PIN enabling the phone's non-emergency calling functions. If the wrong PIN is typed in more than three times, either the SIM card, the device or both become locked. They can be reverted to their original unlocked state by entering a PUC, provided by the service operator through verification. If the wrong PUC is entered ten times in a row, the device will become permanently blocked and unrecoverable, requiring a new SIM card.

puk code doesn't comes with the mobile. It is a pin code(not the inbuilt security code of the phone), which helps to unlock your simcard, in case if you locked your simcard. It will be provided by the network provider. Call to the customer care for detailed information.

Your phone is equipped with one or more codes to protect it against unauthorized use. The PIN and PUK codes actually protect the SIM card, a small card inside your phone that establishes the network connection. In most cases, your operator or service provider is the best source of assistance with PIN and PUK codes. The most common code is the PIN (Personal Identification Number) code, which you set yourself and can activate and inactivate by following the instructions in your user guide. The PIN2 code is a PIN code which acts as a second layer of protection for certain features of your phone. It functions in the same way as the PIN code, and more information is available in your user guide. If the PIN code is entered incorrectly multiple times, your phone may request a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code. The PUK code is an 8-digit code provided by your operator or service provider. If the PIN2 code is entered incorrectly multiple times, your phone may request a PUK2 code. Please contact your operator or service provider for assistance with your PIN and/or PUK codes. If you have already contacted your service provider and the code provided did not work, you will have to obtain a new SIM card from your operator or service provider.

Every PUK code is unique so nobody can tell you your PUK number, but i will tell you what you can do! 1) If you still have your packet that your Sim Card came in, you should find your PUK number in there, if you don't have the packet, please read bellow. 2) You must get a phone that is on the same network as your phone and call the networks Customer Care and ask them for your PUK number, they will ask you for your phone number, then they will tell you your PUK number. Once you have done this, you will be able to reset your Pin number so you will be able to go into your phone again.

If the wrong PUC is entered ten times in a row, the device will become permanently blocked and unrecoverable, requiring a new SIM card. Cellular phone users are therefore advised by most providers to keep their PUC written down in a safe place separate from the device.
