dear friend, prepaid means you have to pay before you used. This will allow upto the amount that you paid. But postpaid means you can use what ever you want but after that you have to pay the amount. Thank you.......

When you get a recharge for your mobile and then use it, it is called prepaid. And when you make calls and sms etc. and to pay its charge you receive a bill. A landline phone works like postpaid

We can explain it simply as follows..... PREPAID : PRE - paid ie., the amount should be paid before you make a call/ sms POSTPAID : POST-paid ie., here you pay your bill after you make your call/ sms...as you did in your landline phone

Pre-paid is basically where you buy the minutes first. For example, you pay rs.200, and you get 200 minutes. And once they're gone, they're gone. If you want to text or buy ringers, it comes out of your 200 minutes. Post-pay, or what we cell phone sellers call "credit plans", is where you pay for your service after you use it. In this situation you have a set plan, usually giving more minutes and more options. This reason is because you pay for your service regardless. That's how credit comes into play.
