The quite a famous sharing service from Nokia known as the Nokia Share is going to be closed down by Nokia on the 30th of May 2012. In a brief notification served by the company it claims that its sharing services are going to be discontinued following that Nokia now purely is going to concentrate on mobile and location based services. Just for your knowledge Ovi Share is an online service that enables Nokia users to upload and share files, typically photos and videos. You will continue to have access to Ovi Share until 30 May 2012, but you will no longer be able to upload new files. What does this mean for you as an Ovi Share user? If you do not have a copy of your files any other place other than Ovi Share, you will need to download those files before 30 May 2012 after 30 May 2012, your files will not be accessible from the Ovi Share service and will be deleted. If you already have another copy of your files existing on your computer or another sharing service, you do not need to do anything.

Nokia has announced it will be shutting down the Ovi Music Unlimited service in 27 countries as the product hasn’t gained the interest Nokia would like. The Ovi Music Unlimited service provides free music downloads which are locked to your Nokia handset/device. The service will still stay live in the following countries: Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa. Nokia will continue to run the Ovi Music Store whereby users can download DRM-free (Digital Rights Management) music tracks – which means the music is not locked to that specific device.

Nokia OVI Files Service, the cloud based storage service will be shut down on October 1st and Nokia is asking users to uninstall the ovi files connector. " Nokia said to users today. "With Nokia Ovi Suite installed on your PC, you can do the following: sync your contacts and messages; transfer videos, photos, and music; back up your Nokia and update your device software. Please note that this is not a direct substitute for Ovi Files as Nokia Ovi Suite requires a wired connection between your PC and mobile device."

Nokia has finally made it official, will shut down Ovi by july.this is because the Ovi Suite which replaced the well-received Nokia PC Suite, albeit with a new interface was criticized in the marketplace for being too glossy and slower than the functional predecessor. Many other Ovi products received similar criticism.so ovi is now become less necessary for the company to differentiate from its Symbian devices and feature phones
