He has had trouble sending texts to US from UK (the texts are not getting to US person). Tried several things that vodafone have suggested and nothing has worked - today he is out to collect a new sim card from them. And if that fails, its a problem with phone. I have tried to do an update to the firmware (vodafone suggested trying) but the version on the phone is 8.* something and nokia pc suite (OVI suite and nokia updater) software all say its the latest one available so no update possible. I have googled to see some pages mentioning version 10.10 for nokia 6303 - if that exists, its not updating the phone when I try. So really have no idea why international texting is not working with this phone. The o2 sim was also tried in the phone and it too failed to send the international text even the sim works and sends texts ok in other phones. Switch off the device. Remove the battery. After a few seconds, re-insert the battery and switch on the phoneSo really have no idea why international texting is not working with this phone. The o2 sim was also tried in the phone and it too failed to send the international text even the sim works and sends texts ok in other phones. These simple steps can help in a majority of cases. Reset the device Switch off the device. Remove the battery. After a few seconds, re-insert the battery and switch on the device. Note: For devices with integrated battery, reboot your device as instructed in the user guide. For example with Nokia N8-00, press and hold the power button for about 8 seconds. The device vibrates three times and switches off. To switch your device on again, press the power button. Reset the settings Restore the original factory settings as explained in the user guide. Your contacts and data are not deleted in the reset. Update the software Make sure your device is running the latest software. For downloads and assistance, go to your local Nokia website's support page. Remember to back up your contacts and data before updating.
