A mobile broadband data card is one of the tools you can use to access the Internet. Most of the cell phone service providers are offering mobile broadband networks. They have upgraded their systems in order to provide this service for its customers. The broadband signal used to provide the service is the same signal your cell phone receives in order for it to work. When you have decided on a service provider, you will get a mobile broadband data card from them for your home PC, your laptop, your SmartPhone, your PDA, or your Pocket PC in order to access the Internet. Because of the broadband signal you will be able to access the Internet at a much faster speed than you can with dial- up Internet service. The only signal faster than the mobile broadband signal is the land-based broadband signal. Mobile broadband networks are still in the fledging stages, so mobile broadband is not available in all areas yet. If you are in a rural area, chances are even though you receive a cell phone signal you still are not able to use a mobile broadband service. In this situation you will be forced to use a satellite broadband connection or a cable network if you have access to cable. There are several different types of data cards offered by the service provider one is a type II PCMCIA modem card, which will fit most notebooks. The other is an express card, which will fit the PC express 34/54-card slot of your notebook. Both of these types of cards will obtain access to the Internet for you when plugged into your laptop or notebook computer. Some of the data cards made will also offer a slot for a memory card. So you will have access to the Internet and storage space. Many of these cards will be GPS enabled, which will allow you access to navigation service through your mobile device. These cards will come with a CD for you to download onto your computer so your computer will access the data card for the Internet instead of the regular modem route it would normally take. Most of these cards are only Windows compatible. The system requirements for these data cards is a 32MB system memory, a 32MB hard disk storage, CD-ROM drive, a Pentium 150MHz processor or higher, and the cardbus, which the data card will fit into. Windows must be XP, 2000, or Vista. The data cards will all vary in price. The price of the data card will depend on the plan you choose. When you are looking into a mobile broadband connection for your computer, you will not only want to look at the price of the plan, but also the price of the data card needed to fit your laptop. If you will be using your cell phone or hand held mobile device they will need have Internet access built into them or you will need to replace the phone. You will also want to check their coverage area, and most importantly do you live in an area where you will have access to their mobile broadband connection. Then you can choose the plan and the type of data card you want to buy. Expect these mobile broadband data cards to run you as much as $200.00 with a 24 month contract in some cases.

By the help of data card we can use net through laptop n computer any where with use of any wire, but by the mobile we can use net any where any time through mobile with the help of data cable or bluetooth dongle. But there is big diffrent to speed. Data card much faster than the mobile broadband.
