Till a few years back, Nokia’s Symbian OS was the leading smartphone OS in the world. But, with the entry of Android and iOS, Nokia started struggling to keep up the pace with the new players. Not the one to be left behind in competing with these other operating systems, Nokia has released the Symbian Anna OS. KYM pits the revamped Symbian Anna against a very formidable opponent, none other than the Android Gingerbread. So how does a Symbian OS fare against an Android OS, we find out.

That's truly impossible. Android OS is never compatible withNokia phones because Nokia phones are made only for Symbian OS. You can upgrade Symbian 60 v 5 to Symbian X^3, but it will need much more RAM. For eg. Nokia X6 has only 128 MB RAM, while Nokia N8,the only Nokia phone that runs with Symbian^3 so far, has 512 MB RAM. Too bad, because to go to Symbian^3 using X6, you have to change RAM too, and it'll cost you lots of money. RAM Upgrading + OS Upgrading + Brand new X6 costs are greater than buying a Nokia N8. And Android OS, the 2.2 version is miles better and advanced that Symbian^3, Nokia is always behind of the competition but always give the best and reliable phone.

It is depend on your model. It is very hard to port Android OS on a Symbian mobile. You can get themes for Symbian to make look and feel like Android. You can check over forums like http://forum.xda-developers.com to see whether you can install android on your mobile model.

YES, but Its not an upgrade, maybe you can called it a "hack" to put a different OS into an existing one. But it involves 100% risk and cannot be guaranteed right.

Is it possible to install Android OS into symbian? Too Good To Be True …, but the Myriad Group, the company’s upscale at cell phone technology to say if they will make it a reality. Next week they will demonstrate it on the nokia n900, and march them to ensure that all cell phone with MeeGo platform will be able to run android application. And symbian followed later (whenever that is unclear). Wow …., if the report is true, then to feel quite at MeeGo android application only, and symbian hopefully in time shortly after MeeGo, but in symbian ^ 3, not for s60v3 or s60v5. But s60v3 applications only I did not run out to try all, 10% are also not yet possible …. How can an application running on symbian or android MeeGo? Here’s easy. You remember JAVA applications. Well java is bs because the road in this kind of symbian Environment / virtual a machine that can walk on the nokia and other cell2 Phone, it is probably similar. UPDATE! Phonearena states that Myriad uses QT development framework provided by the nokia free for developers to create their own application. This further reinforces that Symbian and Meego more than Android Open Source UPDATE 2 Who want to see videos android applications running in both the nokia n900 dg, can be seen on youtube this: http://m.youtube.com/watch?desktop_uri=http% 3A% 2F% 2Fwww.youtube.com% 2Fwatch% 3Fv% 3DOC9Cie2xauk &v; = OC9Cie2xauk ≷ = U.S.

There nothing called an update to for the names u have said.... Symbian and Android are two absolutely different entities, which are Mobile Phone operating systems that are made by 2 absolutely different makers... U can never do something as foolish as that... And as far i remember this question has appeared many times in TMI b4.... If u still want to do it, then go to a mobile shop and bye one phone with Android OS....
