Depends on what field you are talking about. If maths, then it is 1.666666... or simply 1.67 If any programming language, then it depends on the variable type. For eg. it will be 1 if the variable is integer type and 1.666... if the variable is float or double.

in programming language for example c++,if the variables are of integer datatype then 5/3=1 and if the variables are of type float then 5/3=1.666..
