The gorgeous Honor 6 Plus comes with a beautiful glass design and it is armed with high end hardware that makes it quite irresistible at Rs 26,499.
Huawei has finally announced the launch of Honor 6 Plus smartphone in India. The Honor 6 Plus will hit the Indian market in April (next month) for Rs 26,499.
The Huawei Honor 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It has an Octa-Core (4×1.8GHz Cortex A15 4×1.3GHz Cortex A7) Hisilicon Kirin 925 processor with Mali T628-MP4 GPU and 3 GB RAM. Both the models stated above have 128 GB micro SD card slot.
It runs on Android 4.4 along with Emotion UI 3.0 and by the time it comes to India it is expected to come pre-loaded with Android Lollipop. It has a 3600 mAh battery which can double up as a charger for other devices as well.
Honor 6 Plus is a dual SIM smartphone and the major attraction of this device is its dual 8 megapixel rear cameras along with a dual LED flash and an 8 megapixel front camera. The handset measures 150.46 x 75.68 x 7.5 mm and it weighs 165 grams.
On the connectivity front it supports 4G (TDD/ FDD LTE network), Glonass, WIFi, Bluetooth and NFC. It also has IR port which can be used as a remote control for operating different electronic appliance like TV, AC, and so on.
The Huawei Honor 6 Plus doesn't have a removable back panel and all the slots - dual SIM and Micro SD card are in the side panel. It has rounded curve at the edges and the side casing is of metal. One will feel quite comfortable holding the device; the only issue with its design is that the back panel is quite a finger print magnet.
The back panel has a jute like texture and on the top left corner you will find two 8 megapixel cameras along with dual LED flash lights. The golden coloured Honor 6 Plus has almost similar colour as that of iPhone 6. In a nutshell Huawei Honor 6 Plus looks like a premium device and has the necessary glamour quotient.
The X factor of Huawei Honor 6 Plus is its dual camera setup. Unlike HTC M8 whose second rear camera is actually a depth sensor, Honor 6 Plus has two full fledged 8 megapixel cameras at the back. The company claims that the combination of the two cameras increases the pixel size to 1.98 microns, resulting in sharper images that don't miss out on detailing. Huawei has also loaded Honor 6 Plus with an 8-megapixel front camera as well for the selfie lovers.
We did check out the camera at the event and the result was quite good. But, ofcourse there was too much lighting so before passing a verdict on its camera output, we would like to test its mettle in different lighting conditions.
In the meantime you can check out couple of pictured we clicked using Huawei Honor 6 Plus Here ( link)
In the brief time that we had spent with the device, the Honor 6 Plus though definitely impressed us with its looks and performance (opening of pre-loaded apps and multitasking) and WiFi browsing. Display was quite bright and viewing at different angels was not a problem.
Here I would like to mention we were not able to test the voice quality and gaming capability of the device as the device didn't have SIM and Google Play was not accessible for downloading the games.
With dual rear camera, the Honor 8 has something special to offer.
We have spent close to two weeks with the device and here is our analysis of the device.
Huawei Honor 5C seems to be a promising device with more ticks rather than crosses.
Honor Holly 2 Plus is a phone to be considered under Rs 10,000.
On paper, the Honor 5X is not the most spectacular handset at Rs 12,999 but it delivers what it promises.
Here's why the Honor 7 should be in your list if you are planning to buy a smartphone under Rs 25,000.
The Honor Bee is available for just Rs 4,499 from Flipkart and offers quad core processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 MP camera etc.
At Rs 8,999, the Honor 4C offers plenty of features including an octa core processor, 2 GB RAM, 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera etc.
The Huawei Honor 4X isn't the king of the hill in any department, but it is certainly the jack of all trades.
Huawei Honor 4X's specification sheet would impress many.
