Xiaomi today announced Mi Band 2 and Air Purifier 2 in India. The Air Purifier 2 will cost you Rs 9,999 and it comes with a 360 degree triple layer filter that can be replaced at Rs 2,499. The Band 2 has been launched at Rs 1,999. The Purifier will be available from September 26 from Mi.com while the Band 2 will be available from Mi store from September 27. The Mi Band 2 will hit Amazon on September 30.
The Mi Band 2 was first announced back in June this year. The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 comes with a new strap made of skin-friendly material and is available in black, blue, green, orange and other colours variants. The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is a fitness and sleep tracker like its predecessor.
The new band has a 0.42 inch OLED display which is covered by a scratch-resistant glass and has an anti-fingerprint coating. The Mi Band 2 has a heart rate sensor. The Mi Band 2 has an upgraded pedometer that claims to offer more accurate step count.
The Mi Band 2 can be connected to compatible smartphones and tablets devices via Bluetooth 4.0 LE. It weighs only 7 grams, and comes with IP67 certification for water resistance. The band has 70mAh battery that promises to offer up to 20 days of standby time.
The Mi Air Purifier 2 claims to purify the room air in 10 minutes. As per the company, Mi Air Purifier 2 removes PM2.5 particles, dust from unclean air conditioners, germs, indoor plant pollen, pet hair and even filters unpleasant odours.
"Mi Air Purifier 2 is simple, elegant and has a new compact design that is 40% smaller than the first Mi Air Purifier. Despite this, it still offers a high 310m3/h Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) and takes just 10 minutes to circulate purified air in a 21sq2 room,†Xiaomi claims.
You can control the purifier through mobile via Mi Home app.
