Vivo X9S Plus to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC?

Vivo X9S Plus is said to come with front and rear dual-camera set up.

Vivo seems to be working on its next X9 series smartphone which is dubbed as Vivo X9S Plus as the smartphone has passed the Ministry of Industry radio certification in China. The company had launched Vivo X9 and X9 Plus smartphones in China last year in November.

As per the listing, the Vivo X9S Plus will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and if it is true then the device will likely be the first Snapdragon 660-powered phone. It is also to be noted that, the Snapdragon 660 SoC has still not been announced. The uses the 14nm process and includes eight-core Kyro CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz, 1.9GHz, along with Adreno 512 GPU. It will support dual-channel RAM and supports LPDDR4X flash memory UFS 2.1 and X10 LTE baseband. Furthermore, as per the rumours, the Vivo X9S Plus will come with front and rear dual-camera set up. If this happens, Vivo X9S Plus will be the second smartphone after Alcatel Flash to come with four cameras. The Alcatel Flash with dual front and rear cameras was launched earlier this month.

To recall, both the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus smartphones flaunts a dual front camera setup of which one is of 20-megapixel resolution, which comes with Sony IMX376 sensor and f/2.0 aperture, and the second camera comes with an 8-megapixel resolution for capturing depth information. On its back, it has a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0, PDAF and a LED flash.

The Vivo X9 has a metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch full Super with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It comes equipped with 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor, along with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is wrapped under Funtouch OS 3.0 and also houses a fingerprint scanner which is embedded in its home button. The smartphone gets its strength from a 3050mAh battery with fast charging feature. Besides, X9 offers Dual SIM with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 ac), 4.2, and GPS. The handset measures 152.6x74x6.99mm and weigh 154 grams.

On the other hand, the Vivo X9 Plus too has a metal unibody design and features a larger 5.88-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD display. It is powered by an Octa Core (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53 Snapdragon 653 processor, along with Adreno 510 GPU. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The X9 plus comes packed with powerful 4000mAh battery with fast charging feature. Rest of the specifications are similar to the Vivo X9 smartphone.
