China’s UMI today revealed the features of its upcoming UMI Fair, which is touted as world’s cheapest phone with fingerprint sensor. Earlier this week UMI first brought a teaser of the phone confirming it release on September 25. In today’s press release, the company has released some more pictures as well as features of the device. UMI has not revealed its price though but added that it will be an “entry level†smartphone.
Note that, as we earlier said, the UMI Fair is said to be priced at $99 or Rs 6,502 approximately.
As per the release issued by the company, the UMI Fair has a fingerprint sensor at its back and is claimed to have “military grade hardware recognition with an intelligent self learning algorithm that translates into accuracy of 99% and better durabilityâ€.
Under the hood, the UMI Fair comes with MT6735 quad-core chip, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The phone has a 5-inch screen with 720p Resolution translating into Pixel density of 294 ppi. Its inner frame is made out of stainless steel to provide offer greater durability.
At the back, the UMI Fair comes with a 13 Megapixel camera while up front, there is a 2MP shooter. This 8.4mm smartphone weighs 120 grams with a 2000mAh battery and it offers 4G LTE Networks support as well.
