Have you ever entered a wrong pickup address while booking an Uber? Well, Uber is here to your rescue. Starting today, the company has rolled out a new update for the App which would allow you to change the pickup location after you have requested a ride. In other words, riders can now conveniently redirect their driver partner to correct location through the app, even when the driver is en-route.
You have to admit, entering a wrong pickup location either requires you to cancel the ride and book it again or coordinate with your driver for the right location, which in our opinion is never easy. Or, your exact location wouldn’t just turn up on the app’s map interface which is why we think this update can surely come in handy. The update is available on both iOS and Android and will be made available to all riders across the India in the coming weeks. Here is how you can edit your pickup location.
>> After you have booked a ride, tap ‘Edit’ which now sits next to your pickup location.
>> Enter your new pickup address, and tap ‘confirm’
>> Once done, your driver will be automatically notified of the new location and have their route updated.
However, giving access to edit the pickup location is a welcome move, it can become a headache for the driver if the user changes his/her location at the last minute. So one must be careful with that.
