Truecaller gets half a dozen new features

Apart from the various new features, users will also get an opportunity to participate in various exclusive giveaways.

Truecaller today officially announced the launch of Swedish icons Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s exclusive ringtone. With the help of At Night Management, a Stockholm based management and bookings company, the Truecaller now let’s user to set a default ringtone for calls received through the app.

The collaboration also brings in new updates such as Most Called Contacts, which enables users to get instant access to the most contacted contacts. Additionally, the Truecaller app now will show ‘Call Duration’ information in the call log. The app has now an improved design with sticky headers and always available filter functionality.

Apart from the various new features, the famous Caller ID app, will also let users participate in several giveaways like tickets, merchandise, music etc. To participate, one has to simply call regional numbers (India: +919700088855) via the in-built app dialer on either Device or iPhone. The company claims that as of now the ringtone feature is only available for Android users running the app version 7.40 or up but iPhone users can still enter the exclusive giveaways.

“With the newly built-in dialer feature, Truecaller is becoming the new generation default dialer for our users because we provide a superior experience next to the standard dialer with a mindset of making your communication more efficient and safer. This partnership with Axwell Λ Ingrosso, and the uniquely crafted ringtone is a fun way to let users make and receive calls,” said Alan Mamedi, co-founder & CEO at Truecaller.

According to Truecaller, it currently has more than 250 million users worldwide with more than 4 billion phone numbers per month and blocks more than 400 million spam calls. In addition to the built-in dialer and spam blocking, the new update brings in a smart call history option to help you take control over your communication habits.
