Super Mario Run is now available for Android, iOS app updated to v2.0

The game is available for free to download, however, you might have to pay some extra bucks to unlock all the features.

Probably the most played game in childhood by the current generation, Super Mario has finally made its way to the operating system in the name of Super Mario Run. The game was first released for iOS in December 2016. The game is available for free to download, however, you might have to pay some extra bucks to unlock all the features. As per Nintendo, the transition from free to paid downloads hasn’t been that impressive. From about 78 million downloads by January 2017, only 5 percent of the users have dug their pockets. Before this, Nintendo has also tried its hand in the augmented-reality based mobile game like Pokemon Go, however, it had no role to play in the development of the game.

Although the game is too popular for us to explain the gameplay we will still brief you around about the Android version. Super Mario Run is a game about an Italian plumber who is on a journey to rescue the princes’s Peach from Bowser’s clutches. There are basically three modes: World Tour, Tod Rally and Kingdom Builder. The gameplay resembles a lot to the traditional Mario from 1980’s with an inspiration from most of the endless runners available in the market such as Subway Surfers, where you have to run and jump in order to navigate.

Starting with the World Tour mode, you come across 6 different worlds with 24 new levels but the game restricts you to only 3 levels on the Free version. In this mode, you travel through plains, caverns, ghost houses, airships, castles, and more.

In Toad Rally, you compete against your friends and challenge people from around the globe, collect coins and Toads in each game. Participating in each race requires tickets, which can be acquired in a variety of ways, such as clearing worlds or through bonus games in your kingdom.

And lastly, in Kingdom Builder, you gather coins and Toads in the Toad Rally to build your own kingdom with buildings and decorations. To keep an eye on piracy, you need an internet connection throughout, as claimed by developers.

Apart from this, the game has been updated to v2.0 for iOS platform bringing in new colour variants of Yoshi and a little more content for the free version of the game.
