Smartphones launched this week

There are around ten smartphone which were launched in India this week.

This week we have seen some good phones launched in India, which includes powered BlackBerry DTEK50 and DTEK60 smartphones, Asus Zenfone 3 Max with powerful 4,100 battery, Hyve Pryme smartphone from a lesser known brand, but comes with high-end specifications, a 6.4-incher giant called Lenovo Phab 2 Plus and few more smartphone from other brands with decent specifications. There are around ten smartphone which were launched in India this week, here we have listed all the smartphones with their specifications.

Lava A51 and A76+

This week, Lava launched two new smartphones, namely Lava A51 and Lava A76+, priced at Rs 4,199 and 5,599 respectively. Lava A51 comes in Gold, Grey and Black colours while Lava A76+ comes in Black and White colour options.

The Lava A51 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (800×480 pixel) display thus offering density of 207 ppi. It is armed with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a 32GB micro SD card slot. The Lava A51 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The phone has a 1750 mAh battery.

The Lava A68 has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a front camera. Both the cameras come with flash light support. The rear camera has features like HDR, Photo Timer and Grid. Further, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 2G/3G, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS/AGPS, 2.1, a micro USB port and as well. The phone has additional features like Torch and Sound Recorder. The handset measures 136*66*9.85mm.

On the other hand, the Lava A76+ has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display that comes with 480 x 800 pixels and thus offers of 218ppi. It has a 1.5 GHz quad-core which is coupled with 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal storage. You can add up to 32GB to its memory via a micro SD card. It is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and draws its power from a 1850 mAh battery.

The Lava A76+ offers a 5-megapixel rear camera with HDR, Photo Timer, Grid as camera features and a 5-megapixel front camera. Both the rear and front cameras have LED flash. Besides, the smartphone has two SIM card slots, 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro USB 2.0 port, Accelerometer sensor as well. The handset measures 134*66*9.3mm and weighs 135 grams.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) and (ZC520TL)

Asus launched Zenfone 3 Max smartphone in two different variants- Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) priced at Rs 12,999 and Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) which is priced at Rs 17,999. Both the variants of Zenfone 3 Max comes in titanium gray, glacier silver and sand gold colour options.

The USP of this smartphone is its powerful 4,100 mAh non-removable battery, which claims to deliver up-to 38 days of and 17 hours of VoIP talk time on network. It also supports reverse charging, which can be double up as a power bank to charge other devices.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) has a has metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch full (1080p) 2.5D curved glass display. It comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.4GHz, along with Adreno 505 GPU. The camera features include Backlight HDR mode, Low Light mode, Selfie mode, Panorama mode, Beautification, and Time Lapse effect modes.

The smartphone also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is placed on its back panel. The company claims the fingerprint scanner can unlock the phone is just 0.3 sec. Besides, the Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) offers Hybrid Dual SIM, with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/AGPS, USB OTG support, ICEpower enhanced Mono Loudspeaker and Dual Microphone with noise cancellation.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) specifications

The Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) variant too has a metal unibody design and features a smaller 5.2-inch HD (720p) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by 1.25GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6737T processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up-to another 32GB via microSD card.

On the camera front, there is a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) measures 149.5×73.7×8.55mm and weighs 148 grams. Rest of the specifications of this variant are identical to the above listed larger variant (Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL)).

Zopo Color F2

Indian mobile startup, Hyve Mobility, launched its third smartphone, which is named as Hyve Pryme. Hyve Pryme is priced at Rs 17,999 and comes in gold colour option. The pre-booking of the smartphone will begin on November 20 via Amazon India.

Hyve Pryme has a metal unibody design and features a 5.7-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel. It is powered by a 2.3GHz Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, along with Mali-T880MP4 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system wrapped under fluid UI and is backed up by a 3500mAh battery. The smartphone comes with 4GB RAM, and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 200GB via microSD card.

It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is integrated on its back panel. Further, it comes with Touch2Call technology, which let user to call someone by just using a fingerprint. All you have to do is assign your favorite contact to your fingerprints and Touch2Call will let you dial them even as your unlock the phone.

On the camera front, Hyve Pryme flaunts a 13-megapixel primary shooter with dual LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with single LED flash. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, (802.11 ac), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS, 6 Axis Gyroscope, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Digital Compass, Accelerometer, and Blaster. The handset measures 154.8 x 79.9 x 8.35mm and weighs around 188 grams.

Panasonic P71

Panasonic launched its latest 4G VoLTE smartphone this week, which is named as Panasonic P71. Panasonic P71 smartphone comes in two variants- One with 1GB of RAM priced at Rs 7,490, and other one with 2GB of RAM for which one has to pay Rs 8,190. The smartphone comes in Ivory Gold, and Dim Gray Black colour options.

Zopo Color F2 smartphone, which is priced at Rs 10,790, has a metal frame body and features a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) display with 2.5D curved glass. It is armed with quad-core 64bit MediaTek (MT6737) processor, which is paired with ARM Mali T720-MP1 650MHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an expandable storage slot of 64GB capacity. The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus has a metal unibody design and features a 6.4-inch screen with Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) 2.5D Curved Glass display. It is armed with 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT8783) processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is integrated on the back panel of the phablet. The Phab 2 Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Vibe UI on top of it. The Phab 2 Plus gets its strength from a powerful 4050 mAh battery, which claims to deliver up-to 23 hours of talk time and up-to 17 days of standby time.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) SoC, which is pared with Adreno 304 400MHz GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The phone also comes with a 128GB micro SD card slot.

This week started with the launch of BlackBerry DTEK50 and DTEK60, which are claimed to be the most secure Android smartphones around. Both the smartphones have been pitched on the Blackberry legacy of security with their higher levels. The BlackBerry DTEK50 is priced at Rs 21,990, whereas for BlackBerry DTEK60 one has to pay Rs 46,990.
