Samsung is at least being careful of not damaging any other property with this unique return kit.
Well, it has finally happened. The famous Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is dead and we have to admit, it was coming. Samsung tried hard to cover its manufacturing default but such defaults are to be addressed during the manufacturing itself. After much hype over this whole Note 7 saga, Samsung finally halted Note 7 production permanently. And believe it or not, it costed Samsung $17 billion. The smartphone, which never launched in India, was allegedly recalled twice. Back in early September, Samsung recalled about 2.5 million units after which it started shipping the replacement units. However, soon reports came of replaced units being exploded which is when things got really serious.
Nevertheless, showing how reputable it is as a company, Samsung is now sending a unique return kit. The return kit comes with a thermal insulated box, a pair of gloves, and a set of instructions as to how to pack your Note 7 for the return.
The message on the box says - "Damaged/Defective Lithium Ion Batteries. Forbidden for transport by Aircraft. Ground and Vessel Shipment only."
So these boxes are not to be returned via Aircraft shipment and only can be sent back via road transport.
So we get another box in the thermal insulated box and then there is another box which resembles a smartphone box. Opening up the box you will find the section where you need to put your Note 7. Before putting your Note 7 in this box, you have to put the device in the given static shield.
Samsung is at least being careful of not damaging any other property with this unique return kit. So if you have a Note 7 and want to return it, go ahead and contact Samsung about the same.
