Oppo announces red colour variant of Oppo R9s

The new red color variant comes with a red back shell with the logo saying 'I am your little power Phone'.

Oppo had launched Oppo R9s alongwith Oppo R9s Plus in China in October this year. The Oppo R9s is priced at 2799 Yuan (approximately Rs 27,330) and comes in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colour variants. Following this, now the company has unveiled the red colour variant as well in China whereas the availability of the same in global markets in unknown at the moment.

The red colour Oppo R9S is available for pre-order at the same price as of other colours i.e 2799 yuan (approximately Rs 27,330) till December 23. The shipment of the new variant will start from December 24. It is also to be noted that the red colour variant was leaked in an image recently on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. The new red color variant comes with a red back shell with the logo saying ‘I am your little power Phone’ along with popular Chinese actress/singer Yang Mi signature.

The new color variant has the same set of specifications as the existing variants. Oppo R9s offers a 5.5-inch display with full (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 5 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and 128GB expandable memory via micro SD card slot. The smartphones run on 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with ColorOS 3.0 on the top of it and is backed up by a 3,100 battery with VOOC Flash Charge. There is also fingerprint sensor embedded into the physical home button on the front.

The Oppo R9s flaunts a 16-megapixel shooter on the back with f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor, 6P lens, EIS, LED Flash, video recording and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers Hybrid Dual SIM, LTE with VoLTE, 4.1 and GPS. The handset measures 153 x 74.3 x 6.58 mm and weighs 145 grams.
