OnePlus 3T to be discontinued soon, but will be available for sale in India

Given the immense popularity of the phone, this decision comes as a surprise.

It is a well-known fact that OnePlus 5 is going to launch this summer and the brand has already confirmed that it will come loaded with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. However, it seems that OnePlus has decided the fate of the OnePlus 3T and it seems that it will soon getdiscontinued.

An official OnePlus statement on itsforum has confused the fans while informing that they have one last chance to grab the successful flagship phone. The statement read, “This is the last call to buy OnePlus 3T before the stocks run out. Only a few devices are left in our warehouse, so purchase yours before time runs out .” This could possibly mean that the smartphone might get discounted. However, the smartphone will be available for the Indian market.“The OnePlus 3T (both 64GB and 128GB variants) will continue to be available for purchase in India until later this year. OnePlus products and accessories are available through all three official sales channels, including oneplusstore.in, Amazon.in and the OnePlus Experience Store in Bangalore,” the company said in a statement

Multiple reports suggest said that OnePlus 3T would be discontinued in U.K and the rest of Europe from June 1st. Given the immense popularity of this phone, and considering the fact that it was launched only last year in November, this decision comes as a surprise. The company has also confirmed that the existing consumers would continue to get the software and security updates on their respective 3T smartphones. However, this step is being termed as company’s bold step because it is now solely focussing on the launch of OnePlus 5 later this summer, and continuing on its small, yet successful legacy.
