A couple of days back, HDM Global announced Nokia 6 smartphone globally, along with New Nokia 3310, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. The Nokia 6 was initially launched in China last month at 1699 CNY and got a ravishing response from the customers in all previous sales. As revealed by HMD global at the MWC 2017, the Global variant of Nokia 6 will have two versions, the 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage is priced at Euro 229 (approx. Rs 16,000) ,while the special Art Black Edition (4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage) will sell for Euro 299 (approx. Rs 21,000).
As of now,onlythe 64GB variant of Nokia 6 smartphone is available in the market (China) for purchase, but now a new variant with 4GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage has been found listed on a Chinese online retailer ‘JD.com’ at Yuan 1499, which is approximately Rs 14,563. The listing was made official a couple of days back (on 27th Feb). The pre-registrations have already started and 7th March is listed as the release date. This variant also lacks NFC.
For the specs, Nokia 6 has an aluminium unibody design. The company claims that it has taken 55 minutes to machine a single Nokia 6 from a solid block of 6000 series aluminium and received two separate anodising processes. The smartphone has a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and comes equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5GHz Cortex A53) processor, along with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in its home button.
The Nokia 6 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and gets its juices from a decent 3000mAh non-removable battery. On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. On its front, it has an 8-megapixel camera with 1.12um sensor, and f/2.0 Aperture for selfies and video calling. Besides, the Nokia 6 offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, OTG support, Dual speakers, Dual smart amplifiers, and Dolby Atmos.
