Nokia 3310 launching in India in May at Rs 3,899?

Nokia 3310 was first announced at this year's Mobile World Congress event.

Couple of days back, we have reported that the Nokia’s most talked about phone ‘Nokia 3310’ expected to go on sale in Germany and Austria on April 28 at EUR 58 (approx. Rs 4000). Meanwhile the Nokia 3310 has been found listed on one of the Indian online retailer ‘Onlymobiles’ as well.

As per listing the Nokia 3310 is priced at Rs 3,899 and pre-order will kick start from May 5. Further, the delivery of the said phone slated for May 17th in India. However, last month, our editor had a conversation with Ajay Mehta, Vice President HMD Global, and when we asked about the availability of the four phones (Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3, Nokia 3310) in India, Ajay said ‘All the smartphones, as well as the Nokia 3310, will hit the Indian shores sometime in Q2 2017’, probably by June. Even a tech website ‘Nokiapoweruser’ claimed to had a conversion with HMD India PR Team just after the phone’s listing on the Indian retailer and they said to have denied any listing of Nokia 3310 for sale on any of the website, even called it too premature to comment, as they are still working through some of its plans. So we advice our users to take this listing as the pinch of salt, till we get the official confirmation from HMD Global India team on the release date and pricing of this phone.

To recall, Nokia 3310 was first announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress and will come in four colour variants namely Warm Red (Glossy), Dark Blue (Matte), Yellow (Glossy), Grey (Matte). The Nokia 3310 comes with a 2.4-inch screen along with a decent 16GB internal storage for a feature phone. Further, this storage can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD card. We get a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash along with Nokia Series 30+ operating system. For the fuel, the 3310 packs a 1200 mAh battery which Nokia claims can last you 22.1 hours of talk time, 31 days of standby, 51 hours of MP3 playback and 39 hours FM radio playback. In terms of connectivity, we get Micro USB (2.0), 3.0 with SLAM, 3.5 mm jack and 2G network connectivity.
