Meizu’s upcoming smartphone which is dubbed as Meizu Pro 7 is likely to launch this month. The information comes straight from Meizu VP Li Nan who has revealed the launch details on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo.
The VP replied to an inquiry on Weibo and hinted that the company would be launching a smartphone this month. He also revealed that there will be a Blue charm conference this month and the smartphone would not be Meizu M5X which was expected to be launched this month. He further said that the smartphone will actually feature very interesting design however he did not mention what exactly is interesting about the design.
Although, Li Nan did not reveal the name of the smartphone but it is highly expected that the company would be launching Meizu Pro 7. The reason for the assumption is the launch of Meizu Pro 6 which also happened last year in April. Another reason for the Pro 7 assumption is that Xiaomi will soon be launching its flagship Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone. Maybe Meizu is planning to launch a new flagship to take on the Xiaomi Mi 6. Furthermore, the company has also slashed the price of the Pro 6S by 200 Yuan which might be an attempt to clear the old stock before the launch of a new flagship.
As per rumours, the Meizu Pro 7 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch display with 4K resolution and AOD display resolution technology. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Helio X30 processor. It is likely to have a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX362 CMOS sensor and is tipped to sport a 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology. The smartphone is expected to run on Android Marshmallow or Android Nougat with Meizu’s Flyme UI on top of it.
To recall, the earlier launched Meizu Pro 6 has a 5.2-inch 2.5D touch Super AMOLED Display that comes with full HD or 1920×1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Mediatek Helio X25 deca-core processor and 4GB RAM. Meizu Pro 6 has 32GB and 64GB internal storage variants, both of them have 128 GB micro SD card slot.
The smartphone has a 21-megapixel rear camera that has Sony camera sensor and is supported by a ring-shaped flash module that has 10 LED lights. A 5-megapixel front camera is there for selfies. This 4G LTE smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has Flyme user interface on top of it. Besides, the Meizu Pro 6 has a 2560 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner. The battery supports mCharge 3.0 fast charging which as per the company can be charged from 0% to 100% in just 60 minutes. Furthermore, the smartphone also offers Hi-Fi 3.0 for offering best audio experience, NFC, USB Type-C port, 4G with VoLTE support. The device’s dimensions are 147.7 x 70.8 x 7.25mm and it weighs 160 grams.
