At an event in New Delhi today, LG has launched its new smartphone, the K10 (2017) for the price of Rs 13,990. The LG K10 (2017) is the eldest of the entire this year’s K series from LG. Although the company was expected to unveil the entire K-series today, the South Korean giant has only launched the K10 as of now. The device is already available in the offline market for purchase and will be pushed via online channels starting next week. Interestingly, the device is manufactured in company’s Noida facility and comes with an 112 SOS panic button. The SOS button will help you make emergency calls to some select contacts when needed.
Quickly briefing you about the specifications, The K10 boasts a 5.3-inch HD In-cell Touch display with 2.5D Arc Glass design. The main highlight of the smartphone is the 5-megapixel front camera which comes with 120-degree wide-angle lens coupled with a metallic U-frame which gives the device a sturdy and slim look. As for the specs, the device is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor with Mali T860 GPU, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, fingerprint sensor and 2,800mAh removable battery. The smartphone comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage, with the option to expand up to 2TB with a microSD card. The device will be running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b, g, n), Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0 Type B and NFC. The smartphone will be available in black, titan and gold colour variants.
For the price of Rs 13,990, LG K10 (2017) seems a bit overpriced, however, we will have to wait and see how the device stands against the likes of XIaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo Vibe K5 Note (64GB) variant, all of which are priced similarly.
