Back in September, Lenovo hyped around a lot about the Yoga Book at IFA 2016. While the company then claimed that the 2-in-1 tablet will be up for sale in October in the US, it didn’t reveal anything about the India launch. The pricing of the device in international market at the time of launch was $499 (approx. Rs 34,000). We still don’t know the exact India pricing and it will be revealed at the time of formal launch.

Starting with the design, the Lenovo Yoga Book is well built. The tablet measures at 9.6mm thick when closed and is 4.05mm at its slimmest edge. Being a 2-in-1 tablet, Lenovo has included a watch-band hinge design similar to what we saw on the Surface Pro 4 but in here we have three-axis hinge attaching the two parts i.e. the keyboard and the display. Moreover, the Keyboard is also essentially a touch-sensitive surface powered by Wacom and can be used creatively by Lenovo’s Create Pad feature. Create Pad allows you to interact with the main screen by performing certain functions on this touch-sensitive surface. For example, you can draw and write on the touch-sensitive surface and the preview would appear on the main screen.

Apart from this, as mentioned above, the touch-sensitive surface can also act like a keyboard which gives haptic feedback on touch. Further, Lenovo claims that the keyboard can learn one’s typing habits and can adapt better to prevent typing mistakes. The Touchpad is also located just below the keyboard and comes with no physical buttons. For the Create Pad and for normal navigation, Lenovo also includes a dual-use that can be used for writing on both paper and screen. Being a 2-in-1 tablet, it can be used both as a tablet and a PC.

Jumping on to the specifications, the Yoga Book from Lenovo sports a 10.1-inch IPS full display coupled with Dolby Atmos for the audio making it up for perfect media consumption. On the inside, it is powered by an Intel x5 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For the ports, the device comes with a microUSB, micro HDMI and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Lenovo Yoga Book comes with either Windows platform or runs on 6.0 Marshmallow. However, the company is only said to be launching the Windows variant in India, claims BGR.

For the battery, there is an 8,500 cell which Lenovo claims can provide up to 15 hours of use on Android and up to 13 hours on Windows.
