Lenovo made CG slate gamified-learning tablet launched at Rs 8,499

Conve Genius is giving away first 1000 tablets at a special price of Rs 7,499.

As reported earlier, Conve Genius, an Indian based company which calls itself edutainment solution provider, has announced to launch CG slate gamified-learning tablet in India at Rs 8,499. The tablet will be available exclusively through Flipkat and is made by Lenovo. The company is giving away first 1000 tablets at a special price of Rs 7,499.

According to the company, the CG Slate tablet is an NCERT curriculum-mapped, self-learning tablet, especially designed for Indian kids in order to make learning fun, yet informative. The Conve Genius’s edutainment (Education and Entertainment) solution was earlier accessible exclusively to ConveGenius’ B2B clients, which include State Governments, large NGOs and learning centers in India, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

The tablet centers around a ‘gamified’ approach to learning, which means that the child feels like he/she is a part of a game, while he/she learns important concepts through videos, interactive books, stories and worksheets, and then gets rewarded based on his/her performance. As per the company, the product creates an environment that motivates the child to enjoy the process of learning, while helping them stay focused, thus improving retention.

As far as tech specifications are concerned, CG Slate features a 7-inch IPS display that has 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek MT8127 1.3GHz quad core and 1GB of RAM. For storage, there is 16GB of which you can expand to up-to 32GB via a micro SD card. The tablet runs on 5.0 Lollipop operating system and is backed up by a 3450 mAh battery.

On the camera front, the CG Slate has a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA resolution) front-facing camera. The tablet also has one front speaker with Dolby Audio. The tablet measures 105 mm x 9.3 mm x 189 mm and weighs 269 grams.
