A new Intex smartphone under its Aqua series, named as Intex Aqua Lions 4G, has been listed on the company’s official website for Rs 5,449. As of now there is no information about its availability. However expect this smartphone to be available very soon, as a key launch for 2017. The Aqua Lions 4G smartphone comes in Grey and Champagne colours.
The Intex Aqua Lions 4G features a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display with a Pixel density of 196ppi. It is powered by a 1.3Ghz quad-core Spreadtrum (SC9832) Cortex-A7 processor, ARM Mali 400 GPU and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
The Aqua Lions 4G comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable by up to 64GB via micro SD card. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash light and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Camera features include Auto focus, Face Detection,HDR, GIF Creation Panaroma.
The smartphone will have a 2000 mAh Li-Ion removable battery, which claims to deliver up-to 8 hours of talk-time and up-to 350 hours on standby time. Besides, the Aqua Lions 4G offers Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack, USB 2.0, G-sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor and preloaded apps like Android Native & GMS Mandatory APKs. The handset measures 143.8 x 72 x 9.8mm and weighs 146.7 grams.
Aqua Lions 4G comes with a host of innovative VAS APPS for the user. One of the foremost features is the MiFon Security App for complete protection when the device is lost or stolen. The App has an integrated smart tracking facility to conduct live tracking of lost device via IMEI number. It also has a special feature where if somebody switches ON the stolen device and tinkers with it, the smartphone will auto-click the user and send his/her photo to the registered email address of the device owner (can happen only if the phone has live internet).
Tap & Buy is another App that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make online shopping smarter and easier for users. The third App – allows users to use QR codes conveniently through a QR code reader/scanner application feature, primarily done through rear or principal camera.
So far in 2017, Intex has launchedthe Aqua Crystal, Aqua 4.0 4G and Aqua Supreme+ smartphones in India. The Aqua Supreme+ comes with a price tag of Rs 9,490, while the Aqua 4.0 and Aqua Crystal are priced at Rs 4,199 and Rs 6,990 respectively. All three devices are available at Intex retail stores across the country.
With the IPL just around the corner and Intex a major team owner there, expect action to warm up quickly on launches from Intex.
