HTC U to come equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity

news of HTC’s upcoming flagship device has been doing rounds off lately. We already saw the first glimpse of the HTC U and another information has popped up on the internet, which depicts that the smartphone will come loaded with the latest 5.0.

The smartphone has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) and the information was shared by a renowned tipster Roland Quandt. Looking at some previous leaks, the HTC U is turning out to be an interesting device with all the latest hardware and an Sense feature through which users can interact with the side edges of the screen to start or stop certain tasks and features.

Jumping straight to the specifications, the HTC U is believed to feature a 5.5-inch WQHD display with 3D Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and there will two variants in terms of memory and storage. The device will come with 4GB of and 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, the device is reported to boasts some enhanced camera with advanced HDR setting such as HDR+, Smart Video Zoom, 3D Audio and Hi-Res recording features. Similar to what we saw in the U Ultra, the HTC U will come with an option record Hi-Red audio and 3D Audio. The HDR+ “Real-Time HDR scene detection”, which might improve the quality of the images. There will be also HTC BoomSound technology and so would its HTC USonic feature. The smartphone will come loaded with and will not feature a 3.5mm audio jack, meaning you need a Type-C port headphones in order to connect it with the device.

HTC U will run on the latest 7.1 Nougat with company’s own Sense Home running on top of it and it will be juiced up by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. It would be interesting to note, that Qualcomm has already introduced Quick Charge 4.0 and the device is still stuck with an older quick charging technology. Nevertheless, the smartphone will support connectivity options including, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button. However, there is no mention about the rear and front-facing cameras, nor there is any information about the pricing and availability of the device.
