To make things easier for you, here are some tips which might come in handy just when you head home after you are done with your new year’s celebration.
Expect High Fares
As the new year celebration comes to close, a lot of customers especially during the peak hours between 12 AM-midnight to 3 AM, are expected to opt for Uber as the medium of transportation to head home. Which means, the fares for the rides between this time frame is expected to be higher than usual via an algorithm to instantly make the drivers available for increased high demand at that point of time.
Upfront Fares to be sustained
The fares showed to a user before he/she confirms the ride will be sustained taking into account all the factors that can possibly affect the price of a trip, including how many people are requesting rides, the length of the journey, etc.
Digital Payments
In order to go cashless, which is always recommended after recent demonetization, one should choose the alternate payment method before confirming the trip. As of now, apart from cash, Uber offers payment options that include Paytm (and other e-wallets), Debit Credit Card.
Split fare and Uber POOL
To save up to 50% on fares when compared to uber Go, one can either split the fares with their friends or choose uberPOOL if you are alone. However, one must note here that the Uber POOL option is only available till midnight only.
Confirm Driver and Car
One must ensure that the driver you have contacted and the car you get in is in line with you booking or what has been displayed on the app. One can easily get the information of both the driver and the car just after confirming the booking.
Moreover, once you get in the car, you can also share your ride status with your friends and family. One can also snap a selfie via Snapchat with ETA filter integrated into the App and send it to their loved ones.
Uber Lost and Found
If you didn’t know, Uber lost and found feature helps one to locate their lost belongings after they have completed the ride and get off from the cab.
To do so, one needs to instantly go to the ‘Past Trips’ menu and click ‘I lost an item’ and hit ‘Contact my driver about a lost item’. Next, enter your phone number or your friend’s phone number if you have happened to lost your phone. Post that, you will be connected to the driver from whom you can easily inquire about your lost belonging.
