Samsung is already going through one of the scariest nightmares after what LED to the Note 7 discontinuation and now reports of a Galaxy J5 being exploded is coming up which further adds the salt to the wound. 
The report comes straight from Farnce where Lamya Bouyirdane told The Associated Press that her Galaxy J5 burnt in flames after she noticed that her phone became extremely hot and swell up.
Explaining the incident she said – “I panicked when I saw the smoke and I had the reflex to throw it away,”
The phone which Lamya bought last June was thankfully extinguished by her husband during a family gathering at their house.
As mentioned previously, Samsung recently recalled the Galaxy Note 7 which eventually led to discontinuation after the exchanged phones also started catching fire. To compensate, Samsung introduced a new exchange program where Note 7 users can get S7 or S7 EDGE in exchange and with an option of upgrading to Galaxy S8 or Note 8 (if it ever launches) with 50% wavier of the value of either S7 or S7 Edge depending on which one they bought.
Samsung recently claimed that about 85 per cent of Note 7 users in USA have returned their smartphone and in order to get all the units, the company will roll out a software update which will force the remaining Note 7 users to return their device.
Coming back to Galaxy J5, an Analyst from IDC believes that this incident was rare one and nothing was related to a manufacturing default or anything of that sort. Galaxy J5 has now been there in the market for quite a while and not even a single incident of this sort was reported before.
Lithium-ion batteries provide a lot of power without taking much space but comes with certain risks which are yet to be solved. Incidents of these batteries getting exploded are not only limited to smartphones. A lot of previous reports of laptops being exploded have came up as well. Nevertheless, there has been no affirmation from Samsung about this incident as of now but we expect it to revert Lamya soon.
