Apple had introduced its new wireless AirPods at the time of iPhone launch and was supposed to start its shipping in the month of October.
In September 2016, Apple along with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus also unveiled AirPods which were supposed to start shipping from October.
However, AirPods never made it into the market as Apple was recently seen quoting that it is has still not produced enough units to avoid a shortage.
Interestingly, MacRumours reported about a Tim Cook's response to a customer query in which the Apple CEO has hinted about the possible availability of the AirPods.
The query was, "Give us a release date. I really bought in to the wireless vision you painted. Now I'm stuck waiting with my EarPods but can't charge my 7 at the same time which I need to do at work. Let us know if it's a month or 6 months, because then I'll just buy some other wireless headphones."
To which Tim Cook responded - "Thanks for your note. Sorry for the delay---we are finalising them and I anticipate we will begin to ship over the next few weeks."
For those who are not aware of the price, Apple AirPods will cost you $159 or about Rs 15,400. Also, this report is probably concerning the availability in the United States and we are not yet sure if Apple plans to launch the Apple AirPods in India or not.
Earlier, there were reports saying that Apple AirPods are likely to go in production sometime in December 2016 which would mean that the company is not likely to ship the wireless AirPods before January. And now, this report has somewhat spiced up the rumours. Let's hope that the company at least brings the wireless AirPods to India soon.
