Alcatel Idol 5S live image leaked

Alcatel Idol 5S has already been spotted on GeekBench and GFXBench benchmarking websites earlier.

A live image of Alcatel Idol 5S has been leaked online alongside one of its older siblings – the Alcatel Idol 4. The leaked image shows the front side of Idol 5S revealing the smartphone’s exterior design. Alcatel Idol 5S has already been spotted on GeekBench and GFXBench benchmarking websites earlier.

As per a popular leakster on Twitter, Roland Quandt, the device photographed is meant for Cricket Wireless. His tweet reads “This is the Alcatel Idol 5S (6060C) for Cricket Wiress (left) next to the Idol 4”. From the image, we can say the phone looks pretty similar to the Idol 4. However, the boom key on the right side seems to be a bit lower than Idol 4. Also, we can’t see any power button on the left side of the phone. But this can just due to the angle from which the photograph might have been taken.

As per the earlier GFXBench and GeekBench listings, the Alcatel Idol 5S will feature a 5.2-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It will be powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6757CH (Helio P20) processor, along with ARM Mali T880 GPU. It will come with 3GB of and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone will run on the 7.0 Nougat operating system.

On the camera front, the Idol 5S will sport a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front facing the camera for selfies and video chats. Besides, the smartphone will offer Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, Accelerometer, Digital compass, Light sensor, Gyroscope, and Proximity. In the GeekBench listing, the Alcatel Idol 5S got 824 points in single-core test and in muli-core test it received 3421 points.

To recall, Alcatel Idol 4 was launched in India last year in December for Rs 16,999. One of the major highlights of the smartphone is the boom key feature. In it, with a single press of a button, you can control camera, gallery, videos, music, games and more. So, for example, when you press and hold the button, it will make the camera to into burst mode, whereas if you were to press it while recording a video it will broadcast the video live.

On the specification front, the Alcatel Idol 4 sports a 5.2-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a dated octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. The device is backed by a 3GB and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 512GB via card.

The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and EIS. For the front, the device comes with an 8-megapixel camera. The Idol 4 is powered by a 2610mAh battery with Quick Charge support and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi Direct, micro-USB port, 4.2, and GPS/A-GPS. The handset measures 147×72.5×7.1mm and weighs 130 grams.
