LG Optimus 4X HD, which was selling for close to Rs 34,000 till last week gets a heavy discount. The phone offers Android 4.0, with 4.7 inch screen and Nvidia quad core processor.
LG has reduced the price of its flagship phone Optimus 4X HD from Rs 34,000 to Rs 27,500. There is no official announcement about this, but the fact that most popular online sites like Buytheprice.com and Flipkart.com have reduced their prices suggests that this reduction is implemented across the board.
Optimus 4X HD is the new flagship model from LG which comes with a 4.7 inch True HD IPS panel touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 pixel native resolution.
Optimus 4X HD houses a quad core 1.5 GHz Nvidia Tegra processor with a low power GeForce graphics chip. For smoother operation of Android 4.0 ICS with Optimus 3.0 UI on it, LG has used a 1 GB RAM. By default, this smartphone features 16 GB onboard storage and a micro SD card slot to accommodate a memory card of up to 64 GB. This smartphone is only 8.9 mm thick and weighs just 133 grams.
In this device, LG has used an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash. This camera is capable of recording 1080p HD videos at 30 frames per second. There's also a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video calling and chat. Other features include GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, accelerometer, gyroscope sensor, support for a variety of popular audio-video formats, stereo FM with RDS, WiFi Direct, and DLNA compliance.
LG has added a 2150 mAh battery to the Optimus 4X HD to make it run longer and support talk time of about 9.5 hours over 3G.
The phone is very close to the Samsung Galaxy S3 in terms of features and with this price reduction there is a difference of Rs 7,000 between the two devices, with LG Optimus 4X HD being cheaper.
LG G5, which has got a slide out battery, is most likely to be priced above Rs 50,000.
LG X Cam is now officially listed in LG's UK website.
LG K530 has been found spotted on benchmarking website, GeekBench.
The LG G5 SE smartphone has 'Always On' functionality like LG G5.
As of now LG has not revealed the price of this smartphone.
The LG K10 and LG K7 are the first two devices to be announced under LG's K series.
LG G5 Lite has been certified by the Chinese certification agency, TENAA.
The smartphones will be launched in South Korea first, followed by Europe, Latin America, and Asian markets.
Both the smartphones run on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system.
The limited period offer on LG Nexus 5X is available till March 27.
