Samsung's instant messaging service, ChatON has been available for all major mobile operating systems except Windows Mobile platform. Samsung ChatON service allows sharing images, files long with regular text exchange between registered users. The app requires access to the smartphone's phonebook app to check if any users are already using the service. If not then the owner gets to send those contacts an invite to use ChatON.
The customisable ChatON service allows sharing multimedia and gives one tap access to all the multimedia received through a Trunk shaped icon. Do note that the Samsung ChatON service is free but you do get charged for the mobile data connection.
