The results, while not shutting down detractors, have certainly lent a lot of support to the Prime Ministers boldest move ever. In just a matter of 24 hours, over 5 lakh people from over 2,000 locations across the world, participated in the survey via the Narendra Modi app throwing up over 90% support for the recent demonetisation.
To brief out, the survey included questions like "Do you have any suggestions/ideas or insights you would like to share with PM Narendra Modi?", "Do you think black money exists in India?", "Do you think the evil of corruption and black money need to be fought and eliminated? What do you think of government's move of banning old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes?"
According to the infographic results posted by the Prime Minister of India, about 98% people think that black money exists in India with 99% of people thinking that it should be fought. Further, 92% of the people participated, think that demonetization will have an impact on curbing black money, corruption and terrorism.
Only 8% of the people registered their unhappiness with the inconvenience it has caused them, while 48% of the people think the inconvenience is worth it. Moreover, the remaining 43% doesn't mind this step at all. All in all, Narendra Modi claims that about 93% of the people who participated are in favour of demonetization.
