HTC has announced the launch of HTC 10 evo smartphone in its home country, Taiwan, which is the re-named version of HTC Bolt that was launch in the US earlier this month. The HTC 10 evo has same specifications and features as of HTC Bolt.
The smartphone comes in two different versions - the 32GB version is priced at NT$ 17,990 (approximately Rs 38,506), whereas the 64GB model costs NT$ 19,900 (approximately Rs 42,581). The 10 evo comes in gunmetal, silver, and gold colour versions. The phone is now up for pre-order and sale will commence from November 28th onwards.

It features a 5.5-inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) Super LCD 3 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, along with Adreno 430 GPU. The 10 evo comes with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB internal storage, which can be further expandable with a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system which is wrapped under HTC Sense UI.
The HTC 10 evo has a 3200 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 feature. On the camera front, the smartphone offers 16-megapixel shooter with dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, OIS, and PDAF on its back. On its front, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. Further, the smartphone offers 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4,1, GPS/AGPS/ GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, USB-C audio, and BoomSound Audio. The handset measures 153.6 x 77.3 x 8.1 mm and weighs 174 grams.
As compared to the previous year, this will be half the number of smartphones released by the company.
The smartphones come in four colour options including Brilliant Black, Cosmetic Pink, Ice White and Sapphire Blue.
Interestingly, as per the leaked images, the device boasts a secondary display just above the primary display.
The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
The smartphone will be the successor to the One X9, which was introduced last year.
The smartphone is expected to beat Google Pixel in DxOMark rating and skip 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The company is planning to launch a flagship device along with two devices in mid-range segment during Q1 of 2017.
The company has sent out invites for its 'next big announcement' to be held just after the CES 2017.
The device is expected to cost around CNY 2,000 (approx Rs 19,557) and no information has been up regarding the global launch.
Rumours have it that the upcoming flagship device from HTC will sport a Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and a whopping 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
