Google has partnered with 38 Banks to enable Net Banking service on the Playstore in India, finally bringing an extra level of convenience to the store.
For those of you who shop a lot from Google Play Store,the search engine giant has announced the inclusion of 'Net Banking' as a payment option in India. Previously, purchases were limited to Debit/Credit cards or Redemptions on gift cards.Net Banking comes in handy for those who don't keep their Debit/Credit cards with them all the time, besides early users who simply don't have cards. Figures at mass usage sites like the Indian railways IRCTC also lend support to the move , as a significant number of users at IRCTC use net banking over other options like cards and wallets.
The update is said to be rolled out via server and will slowly reach to your device. As of now, Google has partnered with 38 Banks to enable the Net Banking service in India including Axis Bank, Citibank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bank of India etc.
In order to check if the option has been enables to your device, Swipe left on the main menu > Account > Payment Methods > Net Banking. After this fill in your details if you haven't before and check if your Bank is there in the list.
Its good to see Google taking key measures to enhance user experience in India. Earlier this year we saw how Google Team in India managed to get 'Google Now' in Hindi which is being advertised a lot these days over the internet.
On the other hand, Google has finally rolled out the 'Upcoming' tab feature to Google Search or Google App for Android.
The search engine giant also introduced 4K resolution option for some select movie titles available on Google Play Movies.
The app is only available for Android as of now but we expect Google to soon release it for iOS as well.
The latest update comes with a host of new features.
The update will begin rolling out today on both Android and iOS devices.
Pixel devices have earlier faced issues relating to image transfer and LTE connectivity.
Despite coming with a hefty price tag, people in India as well as across the globe are buying the device.
Interestingly, this bug is only seen if the images are sent from an iPhone 7 Plus to a Pixel device and not vice versa.
Google has already released two rounds of developer preview for Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X and Pixel C tablet.
The link will be displayed both on Mobile as well as Web (PC) version of search and will display all the ATMs nearby after automatically detecting your location.
