Hinting a similar product to Surface Studio, Dell today flashed its upcoming AIO Desktop in the teaser of Adobe MAX opening keynote.
Microsoft recently expanded its Surface lineup last month with the new Surface Book, Surface Pro and all new Surface Studio. For those who are not aware, Surface Studio is Microsoft's All-In-One PC introduced for creative professionals. The AIO PC comes with 28-inch Pixel-Sense display, Intel's Core processor ( Base Model being Core i5), with a 2TB hybrid hard drive, 32GB RAM (Base Model with 8GB RAM), NVIDIA GPU and integrated 2.1 speakers. For connectivity, there are four USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet, Audio, SD and Mini DisplayPort (no Thunderbolt) and the new radial input Surface Dial with haptic feedback complete the hardware controls.
Hinting a similar product in future, Dell today flashed its upcoming AIO Desktop in the teaser of Adobe MAX opening keynote. And based on the visuals, it looks even more interesting and surely Microsoft is up for some tough competition here. Unlike the Surface Studio, the entire Keyboard is touch-display with an additional dialer to perform various edit functions and controls. On the other hand, the Surface Studio just comes with a touch-based monitor and the dialer which can be used on the screen.
According to the report from Engadget, Dell further said - "At the start of Adobe MAX, Dell energised the audience with a sneak peek of its smart desk concept in action, teasing its innovative functionality and the exciting potential it will bring to creators everywhere. A full-horizontal touch display designed to work across a variety of systems, the device provides an immersive workspace for creators to build and interact with their content more naturally using pen, totem and touch. It's a new category of computing designed specifically for creators and nothing like it exists on the market today. Envisioned originally in 2014, we're excited to officially unveil it and more at CES 2017."
Well, it is too early to get the specifications but with this update, Dell has confirmed that it is surely working on something or even better than the Surface Studio.
Lenovo, on the other hand, is also rumoured to be planning to update its Miix series with the Ideapad Miix 720 will not come with 12-inch display, Intel's latest seventh-generation i3, i5, and i7 Kaby Lake processors, 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD with USB Type-C port alongside two legacy USB ports.
