Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be priced at $480 (Rs 32,012) for 64GB variant going up to $700 (Rs 46,682) for 256GB variant
Huawei is expected to launch its latest smartphone Mate 9 tomorrow (November 3) at an event in Munich, Germany. The event is scheduled to start at 2PM (CET).
The mate 9 may be launched in three variants- 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, 4GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, and there will be a premium model carrying 6GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. Regarding the pricing, Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be priced at $480 (Rs 32,012) for 64GB variant going up to $700 (Rs 46,682) for 256GB variant.
As per previous reports, the Huawei Mate 9 is said to feature 5.9 inches Neo-IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and will be protected with Corning Glass 4. Underneath the hood, it will sport Huawei's own Kirin 960 octa-core chipset and will come with Android 7.0 is pre-installed. Moreover, the Kirin 960 chipset is said to consist of four Cortex-A73 cores and four low-power Cortex-A53 cores and it will be clocked at 2.6 GHz. The chip is also expected to be manufactured using the 16nm process and there is ARM Mali T880 GPU for graphics
On the camera front, it is likely to come with dual rear camera setup, one being a 12-megapixel sensor and the other one will be a 20-megapixel sensor. Moreover, Mate 9's camera setup expected to feature dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 4x optical zoom, laser auto-focus, hybrid auto-focus feature, contrast focus and depth focus.
Further, the smartphone is also said to house a fingerprint scanner, which will be placed on the back panel of the phone. The Mate 9 rumoured to be powered by a huge 5000 mAh non-removable battery, with the fast-charging feature. Besides, the smartphone will offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.2,GPS/A-GPS and GLONASS.
Mate 9 will be available in four different colour options- Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, Space Gray and Mocha Brown.
The Huawei Honor 6S is expected to unveiled in January 2017.
Further, adding up to the information, Huawei has confirmed that Mate 8 and P9 are expected to get the Nougat update first.
The new battery is expected to have a twice the lifespans of existing batteries.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite features a fingerprint scanner and it boasts a unibody metal design.
Huawei P10 smartphone will succeed Huawei P9 launched in India in August this year.
Apart from Mate 9 and Mate 9 Porsche Edition, the company also launched the earlier rumoured Mate 9 Pro with curved display.
The P10 will succeed Huawei P9 smartphone launched in India in August this year.
Huawei Mate 9 has been unveiled today at an event.
Fit does not include a GPS under its hood, but it can sync with Huawei's Wear application, which is available on both the Android and iOS platforms to track the location.
The rumoured Mate 9 Pro variant has been launched with the name Mate 9 Porsche design.
