After the Samsung Note 7 fiasco South Korean tech giant wants to move forward and avoid mistakes done in the past.
To star the introspection process, according to a news report of Reuters, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd Chief Executive Kwon Oh-Hyun on Tuesday said in a statement, "Samsung employees should look back and ask whether they had been complacent in their work.”
He further added, "We have a long history of overcoming crises,let us use this crisis as a chance to make another leap by re-examining and thoroughly improving how we work, how we think about innovation and our perspective of our customers."
Samsung had launched the Note 7 on August 2 this year and had to recall the device twice post the launch before it eventually discontinued the device. As a result, South Korean manufacturer incurred a loss of about $17 billion in market share.
A report on ET News says the company might introduce a new autofocus feature for its front-facing camera.
After ending the Galaxy beta program for the device last month, Samsung was earlier expected to release the update this week.
The video doesn't reveal the back or sides of the device so we are not sure about the camera setup the device will be boasting at the back.
It is powered by a Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 1.5 GB RAM.
The company is expected to release the detailed report of its investigation along with all the steps it is currently taking to avoid any such blunder in future.
