Instagram now available for Windows 10 PC

Just like Instagram on any other platform, users on Windows 10 PC will allow users to capture, edit and share directly from the device.

Instagram, the famous photo editing and sharing app, has finally made its way to Windows 10 PC platform. Previously, Instagram was only available for Windows 10 mobile platform but now anyone using a Windows 10 PC can download the app from Windows App Store.

Just like Instagram on any other platform, users on Windows 10 PC will allow users to capture, edit and share directly from the device. Obviously, a device needs to have a camera to click images. The description on Windows App Store reads: "Keep in mind that other devices running Windows 10 may not support certain features, like the ability to capture and upload photos and videos." Interestingly, the app also comes with the latest Instagram features such as Stories, Direct Message and Explore.

However, still Instagram as of now is more suited for Windows 10 tablets than a laptop. According to Next Web, desktop app crashes when trying to add a 'Story'.

Instagram team wrote in a blog post- "Today [Thursday], we're excited to expand to more of the Windows community by bringing Instagram to tablets running Windows 10,"

Along with Instagram, Facebook and Messenger apps also arrived to the Windows platform but only for mobile devices.

While, it is fairly new for Windows platform, Instagram crossed 1 billion downloads on Google Play in August and reportedly was the 19th app to do so. Instagram already has over 500 million users, making it one of the most popular apps in the world.
