Xiaomi is expected to unveil Mi Note 2 in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil its next flagship device the Mi Note 2 next month. Now ahead of that Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun on Chinese social networking site Weibo revealed that the Mi Note 2 has entered mass production. It means that the Mi Note 2 launch is definitely on the way soon.
As per earlier reports, Xiaomi may bring two versions of the phone - one with Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM and another said to be a Pro version with Snapdragon 821 and 6GB of RAM. Reportedly the 4GB variant will come with 32GB internal storage and the 6GB variant will come with 128GB of inbuilt memory.
Earlier, some alleged renders of the device got leaked online as per which the Mi Note 2 has dual curved display with curves on both its front and rear side. It also showed fingerprint scanner on the front, a dual camera set up in its back panel and a USB Type C.
As per earlier rumored specs, the Mi Note 2 will come with a 5.5-inch OLED display, a metal body, a fingerprint scanner in the front, 3600 mAh battery with fast charging feature, Snapdragon 821 chipset, 13 megapixel rear camera and 8 megapixel front camera.
The smartphones has been spotted on the TENNA, a Chinese certification website.
Despite a fairly good experience in India, Xiaomi has chosen to keep India out of its plans for the two big launches from the firm, Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix.
Mi Mix is Xiaomi's design attempts to pull in the future with the device having 91.6 percent of screen to resolution. Which means the bezels (the space left over after the screen) on this phone is as thin as they can probable be.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix has been announced in 3 GB as well.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 comes with 3D curved glass both at the front and back which makes it look like Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
In another round of leaks a new price of $590 (approx. Rs 39,500) is going around, just ahead of its launch.
The 4GB variant will come at CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs 27,800) while the 6GB variant will come at CNY 2,999 (approx. Rs 29,800).
Last month Xiaomi claimed that it has sold about 2.3 million units of Redmi Note 3 in just six months.
Latest rumours have revealed that the Mi Note 2 will be priced at CNY 5,699 which is about Rs 57,000.
Recently some images of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 surfaced online as per which it has a curved display.
