Airtel 4G services now available across 17 circles in India.
Airtel has launched 4G services in Ahmedabad in Gujarat. With this launch, Airtel 4G is now available in 17 circles across India.
Airtel 4G in Gujarat has been rolled out using spectrum band of 1800 MHz (FD LTE).
Customer will be able to access 4G across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, 4G MiFi and dongles with pre-paid and post-paid plans. Airtel is also offering free SIMs to any user who want to upgrade to 4G and they can use 4G on their existing 3G plans.
Airtel also announced a new 4G offer for prepaid customers. The operator is now offering 10 GB 4G data at just Rs 249 with any new 4G handset. With Rs 249 recharge, 1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer's account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by customers by sending the SMS 4G Offer to 52141.
There are other prepaid and postpaid plans as well including an Infinity postpaid plan that costs Rs 1,199 and offers 4G data with unlimited voice calls for STD, local and on roaming. Airtel is also offering special 4G packs for prepaid customers at Rs 1495 free 4G data for 90 days. Another pack for Rs 1498 will offer customers 6GB 4G data upfront and allows customers to get 1GB 4G at Rs 51 for the next 12 months.

Airtel further claimed that it has been providing enough Points of Interconnection way before Jio's commercial launch and post that it started adding the PoIs at a staggering pace.

With this expansion, Airtel is now showering its 4G services in 18 circles across India.
Similar to its other circles, Airtel has deployed its FD LTE technology in the 1800 Mhz band to roll out 4G services across Madhya Pradesh.
As per the offer, on a recharge of Rs 259, one will immediately get 1GB 4G/3G data and the remaining 9GB data can be availed through MyAirtel app.
