As expected, OnePlus has announced the launch of Soft Gold color model of OnePlus 3 in India today. The smartphone is priced at Rs 27,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon starting midnight today (12.01 AM, Oct 1st).
Earlier company revealed that, like the Graphite model, the Soft Gold edition will also come bundled with Rs 500 worth Amazon Kindle credits, 12 months of double data on pre-paid and postpaid connections from Idea Cellular, and 12 months of OnePlus Care complimentary accidental damage protection courtesy Servify.
As far as specifications are concerned, the OnePlus 3 has a 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that has full HD resolution. Just below the screen lies a home button which also acts as a fingerprint sensor. It has Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system based Oxygen OS. The OnePlus 3 has the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad core processor, Adreno 530 GPU and huge 6 GB RAM.
There is a 3000 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery which has state-of-the-art Dash Charge technology that claims to replenish over 60 per cent of the battery within 30 minutes. OnePlus 3 boasts a 16 megapixel rear camera with f2.0 aperture, 1.12 µm Pixels, phase detection auto focus feature and Optical Image Stabilisation. An 8 megapixel camera is there in its front for selfies.
The all-metal OnePlus 3 is just 7.3 mm thin and comes with an alert slider key as well. Besides, it has dual SIM, GPS, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth, Hall sensor, Accelerometor, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, and eCompass.

Earlier, there were speculations about an upcoming OnePlus 3 variant called OnePlus 3S or OnePlus 3 Plus.
The sale will happen on OnePlus's recently introduced ecommerce website at 12PM, 4PM and 8PM (IST) each day.
For initial customers, OnePlus has also brought up new exclusive OnePlus merchandise for a limited time period only.
Rumours has it that OnePlus might discontinue the existing variant of One Plus 3 with a new refreshed one.
Apart from some minor bug fixes and security patch, this update will bring quite a few new features to the OnePlus X.
As of now only the graphite colour model of OnePlus 3 is available in the Indian market.
Hopefully, OnePlus will also invent a better name for its next smartphone.
