As earlier Coolpad phone, the Coolpad Note 5 will also be exclusive to Amazon India.
Coolpad is all set to announce its new smartphone in India tomorrow (October 30) at an event to be held in Delhi. The company has not revealed anything about the handset yet. However, earlier this week we have discovered a phone called Coolpad Note 5 listed on Zauba, an Indian Import and Export tracking website. Most likely this Coolpad Note 5 will be the upcoming phone about which the company is teasing for some days.
Infact, in its earlier teasers, Coolpad has been highlighting the number 5 which is perhaps an indication towards its name - Note 5. Earlier, we thought that the phone might come with a 5000 mAh battery and that's why Coolpad is using the No 5 in all its teasers.
Coolpad Note 5 is rumored to come with 5.5-inch Full HD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC. The smartphone is expected to have 4GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. On the camera front, it could sport 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. In an earlier teaser, Coolpad has hinted towards a front LED flash light as well. Most likely the smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with latest Cool UI on top of it and support for 4G network with VoLTE is almost certain. The smartphone is also expected to house a fingerprint scanner as well.
Coolpad Note 5, if launched now, will succeed the Coolpad Note 3, Coolpad Note 3 Plus, and Coolpad Note 3 Lite which are available at Rs 8,499, Rs 8,999, and Rs 7,499 respectively. So we would expect Note 5 to be priced between Rs 8,000-9,000 like its predecessors. This also means that Coolpad will skip the Note 4. Earlier, the smartphone was supposed to be launched on September 23, but Coolpad postponed the launch due to some unknown reason.
In Zuaba, Coolpad Note 5 (MODEL: COOLPAD 3600I) was listed at Rs 8,832 in Space Gey and Royal Gold colours. However, right now no other information is available about the Coolpad Note 5.
