Google to release two devices with Andromeda OS on Oct 4: Rumours

Google is almost confirmed to release two Pixel series smartphones as well.

Google is expected to announce Pixel smartphone series this year instead of Nexus. Now as per reports, the Android maker may also reveal a new Andromeda OS during its October 4 event during which two devices with the new OS are expected to be revealed.

Of the two anticipated Andromeda OS based device one is said to be a Pixel convertible tablet while the other one is reportedly being manufactured by Huawei.

Regarding the specifications, the Pixel convertible tablet will come in two variants; one with 32GB internal storage model and 8GB RAM and another with 128GB internal storage model along with 16GB RAM. Both will sport an Intel M3 processor. The display size is said to be 12.3 inches which makes it a direct competition to Apple MacBook Air. The battery life on both the variants is rumoured to be around 10 hours with normal usage. It is also likely to sport a glass based trackpad which is interestingly been seen in Pixel devices recent image renders. It will also house a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port.

The Huawei tablet, on the other hand, is likely to sport a 7-inch display. Underneath the hood, it expected to have 4GB RAM and might well be the successor of Nexus 7 (2013). This Huawei manufactured tablet will also most likely be named under Pixel brand.

Interestingly, as mentioned earlier, this year's Nexus (now Pixel) devices have a Glass plate at the back surrounding the finger print scanner which is tipped to same as what we might see on the above mentioned tablets. It will be interesting to see what Google actually makes out of those plates on the device. As of now, it is tipped that it will serve the purpose of a trackpad.
