As Google Pixel (Nexus) devices' launch date is approaching nearer, more rumours have been coming up lately. The most recent of those are about the software Pixel Devices would be running. Previously, there were rumours that Pixel devices will come with Android 7.1 running out of the box but today another report suggests that Android 7.1 might bring the much needed 'Restart' option.
This was reported by Android Police. But as of now Android 7.1 is still in the beta stage and all the leaks about it are not confirmed as Google can remove anything in the final built. Hopefully, this will not happen with the 'Restart' toggle.
Well you might be thinking that most of the Android devices does have this feature. That's mainly because they are not running on pure vanilla stock Android. Google devices come with pure Android and the 'Restart' or 'Reboot' toggle have been missing in it since the beginning.
It's good to see Google finally taking their smartphones seriously as up till Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the Nexus devices were majorly for the developers and people were always not very interested to buy Nexus devices. Now it's not the same scenario as Google devices are up at par with the latest flagships. Nexus 6P last year was one of the best smartphones of 2015 and Google is expected to deliver same performance this year as well with the Pixel and Pixel XL.
Apart from the 'Reboot' option, Android 7.1 will bring several bug fixes. Moreover, it is also expected that Google will include the Pixel Launcher in the Pixel devices.
Both the phones are expected to have a metal body design with glass plate on top at the back. It is confirmed that Google will be releasing both the devices on October 4 with Pixel XL rumoured to have a price of $649.
