New Monster app for Android devices aims to ease job hunting

Job search portal Monster.com has released a new application for Google Android 2.1 and higher devices. The new Monster Right Job Finder app will let users search for jobs in real-time, even while on the move.

From the application itself you can forward your resume (pre-uploaded on Monster.com) to the potential employers. To use this app, one needs to have an account at Monster.com website. Otherwise, the app allows registering for a new account.

The Monster.com Right Job Finder App for Android shows six basic options — Search Jobs, Fresh Jobs, Employer Actions, Career Services, My Profile and Forward Resume. Its easy to use interface provides quick access to desired features of the app. However, the search results are limited to certain numbers unlike the website.

The Android Market already has other job search competitor — Timesjobs which faces certain short comings but serves the same purpose.

This Monster.com app at the moment supports only Android mobile phones and there is no Android Honeycomb based tablet specific version available. The app is still in Beta stages so sudden crashes can be expected.
