Panasonic Eluga Tapp has a fingerprint sensor as well as an add-on security feature 'Android for Work'.
Expanding its mid-budget offering this festive season, Panasonic India today added another gadget to its smartphone range, the Eluga Tapp. Launched at Rs.8,990, the smartphone comes with a front fingerprint scanner and comes with an add-on security feature 'Android for Work' that allows the user to segregate the business apps from personal apps and also protects user's personal data.
"Android for Work features what's known as a work profile on a device -- a segregated, managed environment. To prevent data leakage, apps in the work profile can't communicate with users' personal apps, and corporate accounts," Panasonic explained in a press release.
The smartphone supports 4G VoLTE and has a 5 inch full-HD (12.7 cm) IPS display. It is powered by quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz which coupled with 2GB of RAM. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.There is 16GB of inbuilt storage and the handset supports expandable storage via micro SD card (up to 32GB).
Furthermore, the phone sports an 8 MP rear camera with auto focus and a 5MP front camera for selfie addicts. The phone weighs in at 138 gm and is quite light weight. The Eluga Tapp holds a 2800 mAh Lithium-Polymer gel based battery cells which as per Panasonic are safer, reliable & provide longer durability.
The smartphone will be available in Champagne Gold & Silver Grey. Also on offer with the smartphone is a protective screen guard. The Eluga Tapp is loaded with GPS, WiFi and Dual SIM (4G/3G+2G).

As per Panasonic, the Eluga Tapp is available on all brand outlets across the country.
The smartphone comes in grey and white colour variants.
Panasonic Eluga Icon 2 is powered by 1.3 GHz octa core processor, which is paired with 2GB of RAM.
The Panasonic P55 Novo smartphone already has two variants in the market.
Panasonic Eluga Arc 2 comes in Gold and Rose Gold color options.
Panasonic HC-PV100 offers 20x zoom lens.
The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 will be available in August 2016 from authorized Panasonic resellers at Rs 2.25 lakhs, plus taxes.
The highlight of this smartphone is its powerful 5000 mAh Lithium Ion non-removable battery for prolonged usage, which claims to offer 659 min of talktime.
The P75 smartphone comes in Sand Black, and Champagne Gold color options.
Both phones come with a free protective screen guard worth Rs 299.
The smartphone is available in two colors - Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver.
