Taiwanese smartphone maker, HTC today launched six smartphones in India – HTC 10, One X9, Desire 628 Dual SIM, Desire 830, Desire 630, and Desire 825. The mid-range Desire 628 Dual SIM is priced at Rs 13,990 and will be available in Cobalt White and Sunset Blue colours from June onwards. HTC 10 has a price tag of Rs 52,990 and it will be available from June 5. HTC 10 Lifestyle version will also be launched in India along with HTC 10 but its price will be announced later. The HTC One X9 dual SIM is to be available at Rs 25,990 from June 20. HTC however has not announced the price of Desire 830, Desire 630, and Desire 825.
HTC 10 has Snapdragon 820 processor, Android Marshmallow operating system with HTC Sense user interface, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 2 TB capacity and a Super LCD5 display with Quad HD (2560X1440 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass.
It has a 12 megapixel rear camera that comes with Laser Auto focus, BSI sensor, Optical Image Stabilisation, f1.8 aperture, Sapphire lens, dual tone LED flash light, Auto HDR, and manual mode feature. This camera can capture 4K videos. For selfies, the phones are armed with 5 megapixel front camera which too is an autofocus unit and has BSI sensor, f1.8 aperture, Auto HDR and Optical Image Stabilisation feature.
The HTC 10, which measures 145.9x 71.9 x 3.0 - 9.0 mm and weighs 161 grams, has NFC, Bluetooth 4.2,WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Miracast, DLNA, 3.5 mm jack and USB TypeC port.
HTC One X9
The HTC One X9 features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795T processor along with 3GB of RAM. It has Android operating system but the OS version is not known right now. Like all HTC phones, it has the HTC Sense user interface.
The smartphone gets the power from a 3000 mAh non-removable battery, which claims to offer up-to 15 hrs of talktime on 3G networks. HTC One X9 comes with 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up-to 2TB via a microSD card. The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel OIS camera and two LED flash lights in its rear panel while a 5-megapixel camera is in its front.
On the connectivity front, the HTC One X9 offers 4G, Dual SIM (Nano+Nano), Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n/ac), micro-USB 2.0 port, and GPS with AGP/GLONASS. The handset measures 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.99 mm and weighs 170 grams.
It has a 5 inch HD display, a 1.3 GHz octa core processor, Android OS with HTC Sense UI, dual nano SIM slot, 4G connectivity, 32 GB internal storage, 3 GB RAM, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi (b/g/n), 13 megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, and a 2200 mAh battery. It weighs 142 grams.
This Android Marshmallow based smartphone has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor, 16 GB internal memory, 2 GB RAM, and a micro SD card slot for additional storage. This dual SIM smartphone has 4G connectivity, 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera, 2200 mAh battery, and a 5 inch HD display.
The HTC Desire 830, which measures 15.75 x 7.89 x 0.77 cm and weighs 156 grams, has a 5.5 inch touchscreen that has full HD resolution and Gorilla Glass protection. This Android smartphone has a 64 bit octa core processor that has maximum clock speed of 1.5 GHz. The Desire 830 has a 13 megapixel rear camera that comes with optical image stabilization, LED flash light, slow motion and full HD video recording facility, HDR mode and panorama mode.
The HTC Desire 830 has an UltraPixel front camera that too can record full HD videos. Besides, it has a 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB 2.0 port, dual nano SIM slot, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB inbuilt storage, HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio technology, 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, DLNA, Miracast, and a 2800 mAh battery.
It also has a 5.5 inch display but that comes with HD resolution. The display has Gorilla Glass protection. The Desire 825, which measures 156.9 x 76.9 x 7.4mm and weighs 155 grams, has a 2700 mAh battery and comes with fast charging facility as the Desire 830.
Besides, the HTC Desire 825 has Android Marshmallow operating system with HTC Sense UI, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor, micro SD card slot, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, dual SIM, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1, micro USB 2.0 port, WiFi (b/g/n), and GPS with AGPS and GLONASS support. The Desire 825 has a 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and BSI sensor. In its front lies a 5 megapixel camera with BSI sensor and f/2.8 aperture.
HTC only revealed the 64GB variant for the Desire 10 Pro in India at Rs 26,490.
The Desire 10 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow while the 10 evo runs on Android 7.0 operating system.
HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will be available beginning 30th September only on Amazon.in and HTC e-store.
As per some reports, the smartphone is also available for purchase through select retail stores as well.
The One M9+ Prime Camera Edition has a 4-UltraPixel front camera with BSI sensor.
Despite being the older device, the Moto X (2nd Gen) has the upper hand versus the HTC Desire 728 Dual SIM.
The smartphone comes in two color variants -Blue Lagoon and White Birch.
HTC Desire 728 Dual SIM will be available with all major retailers from coming week onwards.
HTC Desire 828 is new and offers good features but OnePlus One despite being a older smartphone looks like a better device.
The smartphone will be available for the consumers to buy from December 15 onwards.
