Here we have compared the 16GB version of Moto G4 Plus with Lenovo Zuk Z1, both are available for Rs 13,499
Motorola now is owned by Lenovo but that doesn't mean the phones coming under these brands are not competing with each other. For instance, the newly launched Moto G4 Plus is priced at Rs 13,499 and is pitted against Lenovo's latest Zuk Z1 smartphone.
So let's see how they fare against each other.
The Moto G4 Plus has a plastic back panel and it comes with a 5.5 inch display. The phone has a 3000 mAh battery and it weighs 155 grams. The matte finished rear panel has very fine texture finishing. And it looks quite good with the vertical rear camera module below which lies the iconic Motorola logo. In short, it has the same design elements as its predecessors which liked and disliked at the same time by many. So we leave it to you guys to take a call on its design.
The Lenovo Zuk Z1 is lot different than the G4 Plus in terms of visual elements. It has a metal and glass body. The curved sides are made of metal while the slightly arched back has glass coating. Though I doubt its back panel to be a fingerprint magnet, but everyone would admit that it looks much better than the G4 Plus.
The Lenovo Zuk Z1 is though quite heavy at 175 grams and it measures 155.7x77.3x8.9 mm (height, width, thickness). Remember, it too has a 5.5 inch display but has a bigger 4100 mAh battery.
The Motorola phone however has got an additional water repelling coating.
The Lenovo Zuk Z1's 5.5 inch screen has full HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution and thus it offers 401 ppi pixel density. The screen has 450 nits of brightness and fingerprint coating.
The 5.5 inch screen of G4 Plus also has full HD resolution. And it has Corning Gorilla Glass coating. It is not clear as of now whether the Zuk Z1's display has Gorilla Glass protection or not. But in any case, I would recommend you to use a protective cover like tempered glass on the display, no matter which phone you choose.
The Zuk Z1 has the Cyanogen 12.1 operating system which is based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 version. The Cyanogen version promises more clarity and smoother operations than default Android UI. Well, Cyanogen is being hailed by many for its features but if you want simpler Android version than I would recommend the Moto G4 Plus which has the vanilla interface. What's more, it comes with the latest Android Marshmallow version.
The Motorola/ Moto G4 Plus has the 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa core processor and Adreno 405 GPU. The Rs 13,499 model of Moto G4 Plus has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Note that it has got an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of cup to 128 GB.
On the other hand, the Moto G4 Plus has much better 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. But it doesn't have any expandable storage slot.
The Lenovo Zuk Z1 has a 13 megapixel rear camera that has Sony Exmor RS sensor, 5 element lens, f/2.2 aperture, and blue glass filter. It has features like burst mode, panorama, face detection, and HDR features. A 5 megapixel camera is in the front.
The Moto G4 Plus has a 16 megapixel rear camera like phase detection auto focus, laser auto focus, f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash lights, professional mode, Burst mode, Auto HDR, panorama, video stabilization, and slow motion video capturing ability.
The Motorola handset also has a 5 megapixel front camera that has f2.2 apeture and wide angle lens. You can use the display as flash light while capturing selfies using the Moto G4 Plus.
The Moto G4 Plus has a 3000 mAh battery. According to Motorola, it comes with Turbo Power charger which offers six hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging.
The Lenovo Zuk Z1 has a bigger 4000 mAh battery that claims to offer 48 hours of talktime and 526 hours standby on 4G network.
The Zuk Z1 has two nano SIM card slots. However, only one SIM will allow 4G connectivity while the other will offer GSM services. Besides, it has WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS with GLONASs.
The Moto G4 Plus has WiFi (a/b/g/n), dual SIM, 4G connectivity, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.1 LE.
Both the phones have fingerprint sensor.
At Rs 13,499, the Lenovo Zuk Z1 offers much better processor, higher RAM, metal & glass body, a bigger battery and Cyanogen operating system. On the other hand, Moto G4 Plus would be liked by the camera lovers. It has better storage facility. The Moto G4 Plus has simpler UI and latest Android Marshmallow operating system.
